John Dillon, Co-Founder
After graduating from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri with degrees in Philosophy and Theatre, John co-founded the band The Ozark Mountain Daredevils. The band signed a recording contract with A & M Records in 1973 that resulted in eight albums that sold millions, and earned them four gold records in the US and Canada. The Daredevils' first radio hit was "If You Want To Get To Heaven" a song John co-wrote. Their second album "It'll Shine When It Shines" included the song "Jackie Blue" which became a #1 hit worldwide.
John's insider knowledge of the music industry, his talent as a composer and lyricist, and his years of experience on the road were the motivating factors behind the creation of a new, more inclusive paradigm for the discovery of new artists and their music. A creative partnership was formed with three other innovative people who shared that same vision. ArtistSignal is the result.
